Economy 101: JulyWASHINGTON – Businesses hired a few more workers in July, but not nearly enough to bring down the unemployment rate, according to a Labor Department report released Friday.
The report showed that private employers added 71,000 jobs last month, while the jobless rate remained stuck at 9.5 percent.
